Join me for an inspiring and informative chat with Saskia Majoram, owner and producer of Saskia’s Essences. Among other things, we learn about Saskia, her journey into essences and the humble beginnings of her range. Saskia’s Essences is now an established, multi award winning brand, based in a physical shop in Somerset with a strong online presence that is regularly featured in glossy magazines.
Since making a pact with the flowers in 2018, Saskia’s Essences has grown year on year to financially support itself and Saskia’s lifestyle. Not a trained essence practitioner when she started to co create her range, Saskia later learnt to dowse, which now forms the basis of her essence consultations.
Her journey is an inspiration for anyone who fears that following their passion, purpose and creative nudges might not bring in enough money. Saskia believes that we should not do anything just for the money, but her story is testament to what happens when a woman trusts her desire to create, keeps trying things until she has found her purpose, and then summons the courage to just get on with it. ‘We have a responsibility to share and teach what we know’ Saskia says. ‘Just keep trying things until you find what you enjoy’.
Saskia mentions the following essences during our time together:
Twayblade – Leap of Faith – helps you feel supported enough to make changes in your life and have faith that everything will turn out for the best.
White Chestnut – Removing unwanted thoughts – perfect for worriers, it helps us find a quiet and calm that will not be disturbed by outside influences.
Nan’s Polyanthus – For things that are difficult to do – an energising essence that helps you start things you’ve been putting off. Shifts procrastination so you can move on in life.
Clematis – Ideas into reality – a grounding essence for daydreamers with lots of idea they find hard to act on.
Cowslip – I am safe – a joyful essence that helps us feel nurtured and supported. When life feels complicated and you want to feel light, playful and enjoy yourself.
Bee Orchid – I open to my highest potential – removes resistance so that we can see what is holding us back and become the best version of ourselves.
Speedwell – I go at the right speed – increases intuitive awareness and opens space to follow our inner guide. It helps us know the right speed, when to slow down and when to pick up the pace.
Walnut – Support during change – for life’s transitions and when you need to leave limits and restrictions behind you. Protection from what other people think of you.
Yarrow – I am protected – psychic protection for sensitives and empaths. Helps maintain boundaries and to feel safe and contained in your own energy.
Sexy and Gorgeous – feeling confident, attractive, and sure of your inner beauty – when we experience low self-worth, body image issues and low self-confidence.
Calm and Confident – support for anxiety, panic attacks, fear and feeling outside of your comfort zone. For long standing issues and fear of particular situations.

Saskia mentioned the following document as a useful resource for essence producers:
Guidelines for Essence Production, Labelling and Advertising (2018)
Good practice guidelines for the production of flower and vibrational essences. Few people would be expected to follow everything immediately they start to make essences. However, this information should be acted on where possible and as soon as is practical.
